Mixing Mysteries Is Now Repeatable

A small change with a big practical effect. The Mixing Mysteries quest launched with a daily lockout, which made Mysterious Mix Master a ten-day slog. That cooldown is gone. If you have the materials, you can do the whole thing in one sitting.

And the materials are cheap, which makes this one of the better value achievements on the Coiled Isle right now.

How to start it

You need rank 3 with Zul'jarra's Forces first. After that, exploring the Coiled Isle can turn up a Handful of Esoteric Ingredients inside any of the small treasures scattered around the zone.

That starts a quest to bring Ofi the Sly back to the big cauldron at Tokka's Landing. Once she is set up, she starts offering Mixing Mysteries, which asks you to donate three ingredients at a time and see what the spirits make of the result.

All ten combinations

Three ingredients, ten unique results. You will need 10 of each to get through the full set:

Phlegmatic — 3 Serpent's Feather. Pestilent — 2 Serpent's Feather, 1 Ancient Knucklebone. Odious — 2 Serpent's Feather, 1 Clouded Blood-Pearl. Melancholic — 3 Ancient Knucklebone. Eerie — 2 Ancient Knucklebone, 1 Serpent's Feather.

Fragile — 2 Ancient Knucklebone, 1 Clouded Blood-Pearl. Choleric — 3 Clouded Blood-Pearl. Virulent — 2 Clouded Blood-Pearl, 1 Serpent's Feather. Volatile — 2 Clouded Blood-Pearl, 1 Ancient Knucklebone. Balanced — one of each.

Order does not matter. Get through all ten and the achievement is yours, along with the Mysterious Voodoo Mask decor for your house.

The rewards are the real draw

Each offering generally hands back around 22 Voidlight Marl. Do the maths across ten turn-ins and this stops being an achievement and starts being a currency farm that happens to give an achievement.

There is also a pet. Farming the Balanced Offering specifically has a chance to drop Cauldron Concoction, which gives collectors a reason to keep going long after the achievement pops.

The three ingredients come from random treasures across the Isle — Cracked Canopic Jars, Venom-Clotted Baubles and Singing Shells. But you will not normally get them at all without unlocking the Ofi's Offerings bonus inside the Altar of Corrosion.

If that is not on your list, skip the farming entirely and buy them off the auction house. They are cheap, and with the cooldown gone there is no reason to spread this across days.
