Archmage Hierophant Build Boost: Your Mana Pool Becomes Your Biggest Weapon
Archmage Support converts a chunk of your unreserved mana into added lightning damage on every cast, and the Hierophant ascendancy makes that mana pool pull double duty. Sanctuary of Thought scales your AoE while Divine Guidance routes half of all incoming damage through mana instead of life. One stat handles offense and defense at the same time which is why the build performs so well across all content when the pieces are in the right place.
You choose between two spells depending on what you want to focus on. Nova of Frostbolt drops overlapping Ice Novas on Frostbolt projectiles for wide AoE mapping with Kitava's Thirst handling the automation. Ball Lightning sends slow orbs that hit the same target repeatedly, stacking Archmage-boosted damage until bosses just stop existing. Both run the same mana stacking foundation so the tree and gear stay almost identical between them.
Where most people hit a wall is actually building the thing. Every piece of gear needs mana rolls, flask setup has to sustain the cost per cast, jewels and passives all feed into the same pool. One weak link in that chain and you're either out of mana every other cast or doing a fraction of the damage the build should be putting out.
