Madness of the Betrayer is the BiS-tier physical DPS trinket every Rogue, Warrior, Hunter, Enhancement Shaman, Feral Druid and Ret Paladin in TBC Anniversary will be chasing through Phase 3. Passive armor pen, attack power and an on-hit crit proc, no on-use babysitting required. The trinket drops from the Illidari Council encounter in Black Temple, the 25-player raid that requires a full guild roster, weekly lockouts and a roughly 15% drop rate before competition is even factored in.
