Dragonmaw itself sits at item level 123 with a 2.70 speed. The stat line is simple: Stamina and a chance on hit that grants 212 haste rating for 10 seconds. For Enhancement Shamans, this proc aligns perfectly with Windfury Weapon. Each proc compresses your swing timer and increases your attack speed beyond normal raid buffs. Combat Rogues with Mace Specialization see similar benefits. Fury Warriors who dual-wield can slot Dragonmaw in the main hand for the proc uptime. No Phase 1 dungeon drop or reputation reward gives this combination of base damage and haste uptime.

Dragonmaw stays competitive until Phase 2, when Talon of the Phoenix drops from Kael'thas in Tempest Keep. Most melee players keep Dragonmaw well into Phase 2 because the proc alone shifts their damage profile.
